fix the lkm?
I installed an Ebay HID kit last year. It worked ok for a few days with no Low Beam error but by about the third day I had to turn the lights on a few times to get both to fire. Thats when I started getting the low beam error, but I only got it when both lights were working, if only one side was on I didn't get the error. So I picked up an Eliminator HID kit, installed it and still had the error. I re installed the original halogens and I still get the error. I tried leaving the battery unhooked, unpluging the LKM, unplugging the CCM, replaced the fuses and I still get the message with the original halogens and the Eliminator HID kit. The headlights both work, but I would like to get rid of the message. Does anybody have any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Shane
You have to get a resistor to trick the computer into thinking that it is getting the resistance from a standard bulb. The kit that I got was a Phillips kit that had an optional resistor thing. Search Google for it and you will find it.
