On my 95 525iT, when we turn the engine off or cut the a/c off while the engine is running, compressor won't come back on....unless:
1. I leave the car off for at least 15mins (then it comes back on).
2. I pull the fuse and re-insert. Compressor pops back on.
What part do I need to replace to remedy this gremlin!
Chip in SC
get a meter and check the lead coming into the clutch.
you'll need to test the thermal switch on the clutch, it look like a little box or plug in line with the clutch lead.. when the compressor over heats it shuts it down.
