I destroyed one of my late 70s BBS basket-weave wheels and can not locate a replacement. This is a 16 inch not the more common 14 or 15, early model with exposed lugs.. The wheel is marked KBA 40545 / 223 ET 24 / 8J16H2. It is for the E24 but I believe that it also fit the E28 M5 (not sure however)
I had no idea this would be so difficult to find, it may have been aftermarket but the pattern and markings are like the OEM 14 wheels. Please see the picture for the pattern.
I need one (any color/finish) but will buy two or four if seller does not want to break up a set.
Any leads or ideas are welcome I have more pictures and specs.
Thanks
Anthony

That wheel can be fixed. Cost is about $175.00. It'll take about 4 days and will be returned as good as new.

We've got shops out here in Houston that could reweld and machine that wheel to like-new for about 75 bucks a wheel with a 24 hour turnaround (especially if you have the part that broke off). There's bound to be places like that in your area too.

Hey Have you found these wheels yet?? I have a set and some one told me they were rare but had no idea. I guess they deserve to be polished.
