    Default CD Changer Cable route?

I see the CD Changer Cable is hard wired into the unit... bummer have to take the back seat, center consoles out or does it go under the carpet along the door up the B Pillar down the A Pillar and in behind the Inst Cluster? I sure wish that Ice Link or Dice Link ro whatever IPod Interface had worked out with the CD 43 Sure hate spending more money for Technology which sucks so hard..

Goes under the carpet along the rocker, up by the kick panel and into the dash.

But I have changed cables and just fished the cable under the carpet through the center consol to the headunit. All with only removing the seat bottom, E brake boot, shifter panel and radio.

You'll need an old wire hanger to pull the cable through.

Oh that doesn't sound too bad, thanks because this is what I found:

I jimmied the wire a bit and got the CD changer to appear and even play a little while I kind of shoved the freyed end into the plug but I was still missing the left channel (works fine with Radio) so at least I think I can conclude that while the changer may be ok the hard wired cable is not...unless... Has anyone succesfully spliced in a new plug? Looks like there are Twelve pins in the plug are there twelve wires? I can just6 see me twisting twelve little wires from my driver seat. I suppose though now that I think of it for a second I'd probably be hard pressed to find just the cable... I;d think since the cable are hard wored that any time a unit croaks it'd get tossed and any usit I find around would be good and the owner'd want to sell it whole.. I've already priced one at a local bone yard for $130..

Yah that all looks good. Mine is already on the other side I think I saw where it comes in . If a coat hanger can feed the new cable from the backunder the seat back I might not have to remove that then I could run it under the carpet from the back seat under the center consoles.. mman I never figured I'd have to take all that crap out again for the forseeable future.. sure with the Ipod could run into the CD Changer port. that would make things a lot nicer..
