Does the PS reservoir in a '90 525 have a built-in filter?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if the power steering reservoir in a 1990 525 has a built-in filter or do you have to buy them separately?

The filter is built into the ZF reservoir, so the whole thing has to be replaced. ~$20 at BMA or on eBay.

Is it under the white plastic diffuser?

Mine was. When clogged, it'll prevent adequate circulation of lubricant. Best to replace, and get better hose clamps while you're at it, to stop endemicl leaking.
