Default Broken radiator shroud. Ok to drive?

Is it ok to drive w/o the radiator shroud?

I Driving today and noticed the temp guage go up.. pulled over and found a broken radiator shroud (sp?) and it jammed into the fan and kept it from spinning properly. I broke the shroud in like 4 pieces and pulled it out. Drove around and temp shows normal. Is this ok to drive for a few days until the part comes in?

    thx for any input..

Been driving with half a shroud since last summer in FLorida heat. No problems so far.
I'll replace it when I redo the cooling system at some indeterminate time. LOL.

definitly replace it asap, safe to drive as long as it does not over heat.
