Default would it be ok to use a 5 year old new serp. belt?

i've had a new m50 sized belt in my toolbox in the trunk for about 5 years now. it gets kind of hot and humid here in florada, and the thing has been coiled up for the entire time. is it safe to use for an inspection II? thanks.

Heck, I'd use a 5 year old used serpentine belt if it is in good shape.
