LaJolla Independent. It is the best classic bmw repair place in So Cal. Carl worked on BMW racing teams for years. Chris is an E34 lover who specializes in suspension. They installed my Eisenman. They rebuilt my locks. They were able to find the cause of an ugly clunk no one else could find (aftermarket shock mounts). In my book, these guys walk on water. There is nothing they can't do. And they are so nice. No BMW snobbery here.
It is a trip to go there and see all the coupes awaiting restoration. People pay rent to park their restoration projects there until these guys have time to accept fistfuls of money to rebuild them from the ground up. This place is the candy store of classic dreams.
