Reply With Quotethrust bushings?? could that be the cause - any help would be appreciated,without a steering damper not sure what else to check?
Steering question on ,my 525i 1989
she has a little over 70K on the clock,

I am slowly going thru the little issues , but this steering one remains
when I go over a bump at speed I feel a shimmy in the front end , kinda side to side, not up and down, no real noise. I thought this had a steering damper but it does not , but that is what it feels like a bad steering damper , caster shutter we called it in the old Mercedes I worked on, any ideas or what to look for
thrust bushings?? could that be the cause - any help would be appreciated,without a steering damper not sure what else to check?
and now I read about LCAB ,where should I start??
so let me ask, symptoms of bad thrust arm bushings and symptoms of bad LCAB, can anyone elaborate?
thrust bushings it is, on rack today - they are toast, hope this rids my car of the vibration and "shuttle" over bumps
