negative battery cable

1995 525, the clamp is cracked, still holding but curious about changing it, anybody know where the other end is? Meaning the end that goes to ground, not clear looking around the battery itself,

Where is your battery located? Engine bay or under right hand side rear seat? E34 have batteries in engine bay or under rear seat.
If under rear seat, there is a plastic cover in front of the seat base, remove that plastic cover, there you will find the end of the battery ground cable
