Default '92 e34 M20 - cruise control ecu plug pinout?

I'm trying to retrofit a cruise control into my e34 M20. But, unfortunately, the original connector and harness got damaged and I need to manually connect the wires to a similar connector. I got the another connector with the same number of pins(26),but the colors don't match.

So, is there a way that someone could send me a pinout of the connector that goes into the ECU of the cruise control or a picture could be most useful? I'm talking about the blue connector that goes into the ECU of the cruise control. A picture of the connector where I could see which wire goes in which pin would be most useful. Thanks in advance!

A '92 isn't going to be an M20. Do you mean an M50 2.0? I think I have the actuator, stalk and ECU for a '92 525i auto in a box somewhere

Oh, there's been an engine change I assure you that it's M20 inside and I believe that the year of the engine is '89. Could you somehow take a picture of the ecu plug of the cruise control, so that I could see which wire goes in what pin? That would be most useful. Thanks in advance!

The connector is stamped as to the pin count. The numbers can be found at the end pins, looking into the connector, for example 1 and 18, 19 and 35, etc. The wiring chematics can be found in Bentleys repair manual.

You have saved me climbing in the attic and searching through boxes. Many thanks :-)

Thanks, Shogun, for the manual. I found the connector at the end of the file, but, as I stated in my first post, I don't have the original connector, but some connector which has 26 pins. I really need which wire goes to which pin, because the wire colors from this connector doesn't match the original one. If someone could tell me which wire color goes to which pin or if someone could somehow help me how to connect this, I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance, you all! I really appreciate your quick replies and all!

The referenced ETM files tell you exactly that -
number of pin at both computer and connector and color of the wire.

Your actuator is probably part no. 1378315 which has 7 pins . The pin numbers are stamped on it. The ECU I have is for an early '92 auto and is part no. 1388043. That has a blue 26 pin socket. The pin numbers 1 13 14 and 26 are stamped on the corners. The only issue I can see you having is if someone took out the loom for the '92 and put in the '89 one. In that case, some of the colours appear to be different. So compare the wiring diagrams for the 89 and 92 and you should find how to wire it

Seems to be more difficult, different engine installed http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...ontrol-install

says Marko from Serbia = European model, not US spec.
