This part is no longer available since 2013, was used on E32, E34, E38. Maker is probably Thule, go to their website and find out more details and what fits on E34 https://www.thule.com/en-us/us
Probably the also have dealers in Argentina
Hey Guys, im planning on buying a set of OEM roof rack, part number 82719402898.
Anyone knows if this is a good option compared to aftermarket options?
How much weight they can carry?
Also, do you know if this OEM rack scratches the paint where it mounts?
Regards

i got someone who still has it in stock, but im wondering if thats the best option. Given its a OEM part, im inclined to believe its a good part, but i just wanted to know if someone had any experience with it.
From what i could find, the brand is PROFIL 2000 (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=82719402898), and the max weight is 75kg.
I did try with Thule before, according to their website they dont have any roof rack for the e34, that sounded weird, maybe NLA.

I have an original set for my e34. They're good enough. They fit well and are nicely finished. They've weathered really well.
They're either 75kg or 80kg weight rated.
If you position them correctly on the roof, they won't scratch the paint.

well ... awesome all that bother for nothing. the seller who supposedly had it in stock, not it says he doesnt, that it was incorrectly listed as available.
i've seen some thule racks, that dont fit directly on the E34, but with some massaging they do fit. but at 400usd + plus shipping to argentina + customs ... its way too expensive to justify having a half backed roof rack.
i guess ill have to do it myself ... how hard can it be?
