    Default OT 740i cylinder numbering

    quick question, how are the cylinders numbered on a 1998 740i?

    starting at the front one bank is 1357 and the other is 2468, i can't remember which side is odd and which is even
    all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it

    most american cars are 1357 on the drivers side but this will give you a clue. If you look directly down at the engine, the bank or exhaust or intake port that is closer to the front would be the one that starts as number 1.

    thats impossible, thats like saying the connecting rods are connected to the opposite side. What do you mean?

    well it is staggred but you can not see it externally, the front of the motor is even

    ok, since my cars not here the block is even. I want to see if the plugs and exhaust is...might have to pull the intake cover to see about this conspiracy.

    Default The bank on the passenger side is 1-4 and the bank on the drivers side is 5-8 US cars
