Default Help...need to replaceball joints :(

My mechanic said 1,000 to replace entire front end because there is play in the ball joints of my 94 5301. There are four Ball Joints I've read. If I change the upper and lower arms on both sides is there anything else I need to do aside from the alignment?

    Thanks

    Default gonna do it yourself?

if your gonna get new balljoints you should get the thrust arms/control arms and bushings too from BMA along with everything else (struts while your in there). If all your mechanic is planning on doing is the balljoints and not the thrust/control arms I would question his work AND $1000 for a complete front end sounds way too cheap to me!
