e34 speedo not working!!!!!

my speedo doesnt work neither does my m.p.g gauge, and my wiper speeds are not working correctly, i think that these faults are connected??, can anybody help me?????????? many thanks Chris.

first place to typically look is the speed sensor in the diff which is a hall effect counter that provides the speedo its data. Function can typically be restored if the sensor is removed and cleaned...sometimes it is just the connector to the pulse generator as well. Look at the ETK for some perspective and consult the archive which should reveal a How-To link.
