OT: Cheap car rental in Germany?

I will need to be in Germany for about 10 days, I will need to rent a car preferably a comfortable sedan with good gas mileage (5sp diesel perhaps). Where should I start to look?

I believe Mark Dsylva gave Ed some direction about car rental when he was across the pond.

Try a private mail to ed (our administrator of the board). I'm sure he'd point you in the right direction.

Last time we rented a car over there we went through Dollar. Booked on line and picked it up at the airport there.
