I hope you guys don't get sick of this surging topic but here are my latest observations. (The car is an '89 525i M20 manual, euro, no catalytic converter. no O2 sensor)

My complaint before was that the car would surge when slowing down (with tranny in gear and foot off the throttle); surge would start at around 1000 rpm. I found out that the TPS was not working so I fixed that. Surge was gone as long as my foot was off the throttle (TPS in idling mode). However, when I start to accelerate with a very light throttle, the car would surge. I have to give it more gas to get rid of the surging.

Any ideas? Injectors?
