Default Bill R... brake question about that Kia I picked up... you out there?

'99 Sephia, called BMA today to order new pads/rotors, and Pat told me there were 2 listings, the "new style" solid rotors, and the "old style" rotors with a vented hat". Do you know anything about this? He said it might be like the VW GTIs, where everything else was the same but there were 2 different rotors, and different thickness pads associated with them...

    Any ideas?

Okay, looks like the change is a larger contact patch on the new setup... guess I'll go with that. I doubt a vented hat will make THAT much of a difference, I don't expect to bring the Kia out to Willow Springs any time soon!
