OK, I found a second fuse for the radio under the rear seat - my radio is back to life, but is demanding a code? Where do I find this and how is it entered? Help!
1992 525i. As I was modifying the Power Connecter in the trunk to accept a CD Changer (CDX-M30), like a bonehead, I left the new contacs uncovered, where they likely came into contact with one and other, perhaps for an extended period of time. Although the No. 18 fuse is fine, the radio refuses to power on. What gives?

Also - the Pioneer CDX-M30 6-Disc CD Changer has a 3-pin plug attachment, the connecter in the trunk is but two connecters. On the Pioneer CDX-M30, what is the pin layout for the power connection? I keep blowing fuses. Winfred said the outer two pins are used, the middle pin is ignored?
call the dealer with your radio's serial number and the vin number and they can look up the code for you
