Your tail lights could have corrosion on the contacts, or could not be BMW silver bases. Standard brass base bulbs can give you this problem.
My car is a 1995 540ia. Lately I've been getting some "ghost" warning messages on my OBC. I say ghost warnings because they pop up and the problem isn't really happening.
Example: "Brake LT Circuit" - Brake lights are operating normally. "Tail Light" - All tail lights working fine.
The warning message will come on, but will reset itself if I shut the car off and restart it. Is this an indicator of an impending electronic meltdown? Or just a minor annoyance?
Any similar experiences?
Thanks!
Todd
