    Default Whats this connector for do you reckon?

    What is the blue connector (the one wrapped up in plastic) for?

    I was thinking mabye the turbo piggy back system that they never brought out?

    Looks like the Cruise Control Module connector to me...

    I have one of those blue plugs wrapped in plastic under my back seat..... What's that one for?

    i think i had one for the infra red alarm system when i was looking into it before, that was under the back seat wrapped up.

    Yeah... I think our early e34's were equipped for the infra-red alarm. there is a space under the cover for the rear fusebox that has a blue connector in it also, looks just like the ones in infra-red E32's.

    Default cruise control - kit still available

    The plug is for the cruise control. About 18 months ago the dealer could still get the kit for about A$1600. (BMW Chatswood). They have to order from Germany. If you locate a good deal, let me know - I wouldn't mind one too.

    the car is now almost 8 years out of production you shouldnt be paying that much for parts!

    anyhow cruise control upgrade cost me £20, about $13! just go to the breakers jard/scrap yard, get your self a cruise control module, steering coloum switch, clutch switch and bracket, brake isnt needed as the one currently fitted for lights is intercepted, cruse control actuator and cable which goes under the bonnet - plug it all in and away you go...
