I'd be interested in that if I can't fit the intercooled turbo kit in my budget !
How is the project going? Can i order an m30 kit yet???
Hey Guys,
We are begining to gather the parts to build the prototype turbo kit for the 535i but are first going to build a CAIS. We have been producing one for the e28 for a couple of years and the e34 CAIS will be very similar.
We do not claim any HP gains but can assure you that you will not lose HP like some kits that just place the filter over the exhaust manifold. Cost if $225. Here is a picture of the CAIS on an e28. This one is red but they typically come in black.
TCD CAIS
We are just wondering if the e34 crowd has the same interest that the e28 crowd does.
Thanks,
Todd

Turbo kit - cheap? - interested.
I've got a pretty bad itch to go the turbo path with my m30, and deciding factors will be:
- cost - I'd be happy to keep this down by doing fitting a kit/ fabricating the manifold myself and sourcing bits.(give me max' reliable hp - if a refined system is what you pay for - give me lots of rough hp)
- reliability - happy to spend a lot of time to "get things sorted" , not happy if this is never ending and bits start falling apart due to too much hp.
- what can the 5-speed box and a bmw lsd handle? - not interested in blowing diff's/ gearboxes.
- turbo thrill factor v's supercharger thrill factor v's relative reliability.

I'd be interested too.
looks nice! does it come with the heat shield as well? looks like a similar setup to the jim c cai (which was VERY nice on m e36)
