15 inch 205/65,s were standard front and back unless you have an m5.
I've had my E34 for 2 years and just now I start to notice a noise every time I drive. I had a similar problem with an old celica and I found out that the rear tires were the same as the front ones. What does a E34 is supposed to have? 16's 17's front/rear, the same? please advice.

Thanks!
center bearings and rear end just incase something is starting to get worn before it gets worse.

what would be your course of action. I have a feeling I need a wheel bearing (on the right side of the car) because the noise is evident when I turn to the left (thus loading the right) and goes away when I turn to the right. what is the center bearing you speak of? I don't think my problem is the rear end though. how would you attack the problem?
TIA

yeah, it's a wheel bearing. I'm about ready to order one. thought it was my old $hitty tires. I replaced them and it's still there. what are the center bearings you speak of?Originally Posted by 632 Regal
Center bearings are a driveshaft part, not sure the sound would change like you're experiencing: noise there when turning left, not there when turning right.
thats called the center bearing.

next question:
how to determine front or rear?
