is the LED lighting each time your press it or occasionally? could be a fracture in the pcb.
Matt.
after i first purchased the car i had a problem with the keyless remote not working at certain places. but now it is starting to act up randomly. does anyone know what can cause my key to work one second & not another? i have 2 keys, installed new batterys, & re-encoded them both. both keys act the same. what freq. do the keys operate on? could it be a computer problem?
i would appreciate any help.
thanks

Haynes - "Fitting is Reversal of Removal"
i have the same problem of intermittent Central Locking System functioning. I have never been able to tye it down to a particular set of circumstances that causes it.
There have been several posts on this board and on others stating that it is a fusible link problem and if you replace the fusible link things should function properly. I havent done this yet.
If you do try it please be sure to report back on your results. - JT
usually when it happens there's a 'cell tower' in sight. I've learned that if it doesn't lock on the first try don't push my luck. Sometimes I get it to unlock by inserting the key in the lock and then pressing the button.
the local dealer told me that i can open the the door with the key, the alarm will go off, after getting in turn the key to the running position, then off, then try starting the car, he said this should disable the alarm. i tried this & only got it to work the one time. since then i was only able to disable the alarm with the remote. i am interested in the fusable link though.
thanks
