Since the car has a minor leak above drivers side door -- few drops go in every now and then; trying to sort that out right now too; the cluster got some moisture in it and i guess got shorted out which left the thing on just as if the button was sticking. As soon as I dried it out, it went away.
Not sure if that helps you, but I guess it wont hurt if I put it out there.
i'll have to look into that and really check it out. thanks for the info.
