Default I had to go to a customers house and look at his fine

87 bronco II, it was the 2.9 v6... wouldn't crank over, would only click..
the battery terminals were heating up though... so i pulled all the spark plugs and cranked it over and it shot a stream of gasoline about 30 feet out of the rear spark plug holes on each bank... It turns out that the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm was bad and it was pumping fuel straight into the intake manifold at the rear by the rear two cylinders... I pulled the dipstick and the crankcase was almost completely full of gas......Loads of fun...

If you had tossed a match into the crankcase you would've been doing him a favor.

would bend the rods if there was enough room to let the piston travel into hydrolock.
