umm...why do you want to unhook the cable? I'm assuming you mean to the outer door latch?
I have found many great instructs online about taking the door panel off, however I have not seen anything on replacing the Bowden cable, the one that connects the interior door handle. I trace the cable inside the door, but I am unable to unlodge the hook inside the door.
Any help with this would be GREAT!

It's really simple. I pulled my DS door panel off earlier today to do some work in there and clean things up...it's a C hook, and it just slips off. No biggie.

Actually it was the hook on the other end. The hook on the cable broke by the inner handle. I bought a new cable, and it was a chore taking the whole locking mech and window guide out to hook the new cable onto the lock mech. Just takes a lot of patience, and luck.
