Default need a audio manual from SONY

This probably goes mainly to our members in Australia and NZ, as many jap. used BMW are exported to there. I have a Sony Audio in my 750iL and I am looking for a instructions manual/owners manual and/or wiring diagrams either in Japanese or any other language for this equipment. Not absolutely necessary that it is cpl. identical, if similar, it would also be o.k. BMW Japan does not have it anymore, also SONY Japan does not have it. Their headoffice is in walking distance from my home in Tokyo. Went there, but no success. It was installed around 1988 in BMW's of the 7 series (maybe also E34) in Japan as standard equipment by BMW.
Want to keep the original equipment inside, but need some wiring diagrams etc. in case it has to be repaired.
Have already asked on the 7 series board, but there are not so many people, so maybe someone of you E34 drivers has one.

Above sits in the front dashboard. Below is the one in the armrest between the rear seats

    SONY CDX 5B817
    CD AUTO CHANGER SYSTEM
    FM-TV 76-90 Mhz, 1-3 Channel
    AM 522-1628
    DC: 12 V negative ground
    serial no. 11165

Thanks for reading and I hope to get some feed back.
I am also interested in some spare control panels or the main unit as shown above, does not matter if they are defective. Will try to repair them.

    You are da man! Thanks.
Is someone in the US so kind to call that number and ask for the price and availability?
Do not know your time now, but we have it now Saturday evening, 22.40 H on Feb. 12

    Model Manufacturer: Sony
    Model Number: CDX-5B817
    Name: MANUAL,INSTRUCTION
Description: *****NOTE: No Refunds will be issued for returns on Manuals.*****
    Part Number: 378640701
    Part Type: OEM NEW
Shipping Availability: Usually ships in 4 - 6 days
Price: Please call 1-877-62-PARTS (1-877-627-2787) for pricing information and product availability.

Anyway, as there is an English manual and the part number, I will also try with the Sony Headoffice here in Tokyo/Japan.

    Default Bad news...

I called them just now and they do not have it come upon their database for pricing which they say means that it will soon be NLA (no longer available). Sorry-have you tried the Sony site to see if it can be downloaded at all.

Thanks for your help. But apparently it is not on their page for downloads or I could not find it.
Typed in the model CDX-5B817 but it says
Your search did not match any documents in the library. Please check your model number and try again.

It is probably too old that they have it online as download.

    Paul,
next model or similar would be also fine, but could not yet find something.
Just keep an eye on it, I think Australia or NZ as source might be the best chance to get one (or just a copied manual) out of a used exported BMW from Japan.
Usually the jap. version radio FM does not work I guess, because in Japan we have strange FM 76-90 Mhz, wheres in other countries I know it starts from 90 Mhz
